How to handle aac (ADTS Audio) files

I'm using an app on my Sony Xperia Z2 mobile phone simply called Audio Recorder developed by Sony and now when I try to import audio files recorded by this app into Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12.0 it won't let me. When dragging the file onto the timeline all I get is the red icon indicating it won't let me rather than the normal plus sign.

What do I need to be able to use aac audio files in Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12.0?

I'm running Win7 x64 if that's important.

What version of QuickTime do you have on your PC?

Also, post the text view results from MediaInfo (free app on the net).

I don't have Quicktime installed but solved the problem by converting the aac files using an online service.
