How to install a VST plugin

I am trying to install VoxFormer in Vegas Pro 18 and am in a little above my head.

The publisher instructed as follows:

Please make sure you are installing the VST version of the plugin as well: it should be placed into the same folder where other VST plugins are present.

Where in VP18 are the VST plugins?

Is that were the download should be put and then unzipped?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Vegaspro18 supports VST2 format and the most 3rdparty modern VSTs have that format.

Or let Vegaspro18 know where you've installed VoxFormer --

I use Voxformer since a very long time, even in VP18. As Yellandkeil already pointed, it doesn't really matter where you installed the VST DLL file, you only need to define this path in the Vegas Pro preferences shown in Yellandkeil's screenshot. And you cannot use the VST3 version, just the regular VST version.
In the end the only file you need is "voxformer.dll".

Most <.dll> plug-in files can be moved to a different VST folder if that is preferred for some reason, but as was previously stated, the pertinent default and alternate VST search folders must be designated in the "Options> Preferences> VST Effects".

I have Apple Logic so I own a small pile of AUs/VSTs. I'm just wondering what type of VSTs are most using here? I'm guessing like reverbs? Obviously, my acoustic cello AUs/VSTs wouldn't make any sense to install in Vegas.

Vegas and Sound Forge do not support VST 'instrument' plug-ins. Only VST effects plug-ins for Windows; i.e., reverbs, delays, EQs, compressor/limiters, ect., ect., ect.
