How to keep start time of dragged clip?

In SONAR if you hold down shift while dragging a clip to another track it will maintain its start time.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this in Vegas. It's not under the "copy clip" section of the manual.

It's got to be easy. Please enlighten me!

Use the up/down (8/2) arrow keys on the numeric keypad.

or, if you have snapping turned on, it will "snap" to its original start time.

The problem is that you are probably holding down shift :P

Holding down shift turns off snapping in Vegas. So just drag down with the mouse and you will be fine (as long as you have snapping on)
