Something like this??

I cut out the camera's flash over an apha chanel and zoomed in using a little defocus effect.
end of the flash, used Brightness / Contrast for a white out
Used Glint effect on the camera w/ Sparkle preset.

Re-rendered to avi a few times compressing the whole thing so the flash is a little snappy.

I actually tried something else, which was ok too.

I made 2 PSD's with the project frame size, 1 with the camera and one with a white square over the center of the flash.
I placed both on the timeline, the suare in the end of the camera with duration of 15 frames or so and used the hard flah transition on the start of the square and normal dissolve at the end.
I used the Glint effect on the camera w/ Sparkle preset and keyframed it to start at the flash and last 4-5 frames after.

I'd be glad to give you the veg.

This forum needs a sharing folder.. (;

Hi Ulf

Thanks for the parcel it arrived on Sunday, very thoughtful…thank you.

I like Byron’s rendition but most of the time I only have a limited time to produce a piece of content so I use media gen ..no rerenders etc.

Ulf I like using media gen because it takes a few seconds to do and you can key it , hold fast smooth slow etc and add color as well. You also have the option of dodge for afterglow which I delayed to show my point

Byron i am with you on a veg share spot

Several years ago we had a great resource for sharing veggies. This resource is called VASST from the Sundance Media Group. It has grown tremendously since I started visiting it in 2004. I haven't been there for a while but when I went to my old bookmarks, it doesn't look anything like I remembered.

Long story short, it was a great place for people to share veggies. I'm not sure if there are any sites left that are active and doing this.
