How to make a graphic spin?

Someone I know is trying to make a graphic he has created spin "in place".

He's created a graphic is photoshop, and brought it into Vegas Movie Studio. The graphic is on it's own track. (It is a small graphic with a transparent background). He wants a 3-d type spin - i.e. he doesn't want it to move position along x or y, but to spin in place.

He (and I) have played with track motion, and with the 3-D Blinds "spin" transition, but have not figured this out. What he wants is something like the 3D Blinds "spin", but this spins the entire frame, and his graphic is just a small part of the frame.

Any ideas how to do this?

Ideally you should use a 3D animation program. Vegas simply isn't one.

That being said, try creating a video with the graphic filling the frame, apply the 3D spin transition, and render to a new file. Then use this new file in your project. Pan/Crop to size and position it where you want it to be.

Thanks - that's a great idea.

Another approach might be to create an animated gif in Photoshop and use that in MS.

hey, if you just want it to spin soorta 2d you can just go pan/crop and drag the animation dial at the bottom of the screen to say 3 seconds and rotate the image it will work..
