Hi,

Here is my first post. (sorry for my english).
I can’t figure it out how to make this in Vegas.
I tried Overlay and more filters but i don't have this effect :

Could someone help me ?
What's the manipulation to "mix" the two videos ?

In advance, thanks

Take a look at the gradient wipe transition in Vegas.

Great.
Thank you for the tip ! It's very close to the effect i want reach. But with this module, we can add pictures but no videos. And the freebies i've downloaded are in .mov.

Gradient wipe won't give you the ink effect though it's pretty close. For a minimal amount of work it might be what you need.

If you want more of an inky effect, search youtube for "ink overlay" and use the one(s) you like to create a clip that you can use in your project as a transition.

What version of VP are you using? If it's at least 15, I can send you a sample

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]

Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

Hi, thank you for your answer.
It's the V.16
Whit pleasure.
I'm pretty sure, that it's possible to make a kind of masking that select black for 1 vidéo and white for the other. To have one part of the ink for the first and the second part for the other. Like masks in Photoshop.
But, maybe i'm wrong. Or, it's too complicated.

Use the gradient wipe and replace the grayscale with an image you create in Photoshop or other.

@wervert-m Actually it turns out there are a bunch of tutorials on youtube if you search for "vegas pro ink transition"

Here's one method. You'll need two videos to substitute for the ones in the project. The key parts are the compositing child track, the multiply mode on the first track and chroma key on the ink event. I've named them so you can see that. There's a bit of blur on the ink that can be tweaked or removed and you can play with other fx and animate them for more customization

@wervert-m

If you're interested in almost unlimited transitions like this and much more, take a look at Pixelan SpiceMaster Pro (version 3).

You can install the trial version. It leaves an X watermark, but you can try out everything.
