how to make it mono

Greetings......

I need to convert an audio file to mono. the signal is stereo but it is only recorded on the left channel.

I can pull it into sound forge but due to the video content the conversion time is enormous.

Any simpler way to do this in Vegas4? At rendering time, could it be converted to mono? Any settings i'm missing at capture time? Help please.

Right-click the audio event, then under the Channels submenu click "Left Only." That'll do it!

You can also add a 'Pan' envelope and drag it down to 50% right and if you add reverb, there are settings that will 'Pan the reverb to the right channel, giving you a cheesy semi-stereo effect for a mono track
