How to mass cut certain sounds from hours of audio?

There are audio files that last from 3 to 9 hours. They contain notification sounds, about 400 to 1800 notifications in one audio. So, they need to be cut out completely. How to do it automatically in Vegas? Maybe there is some plugin for this? If you know any other way to cut certain sounds from audio automatically, please post.

Could you please describe exactly what a 'notification sound' is? Is it a human voice advising something, or something like a bell or an electronic 'bing'? If the latter, you might want to have a look at SpectraLayers Pro - https://www.steinberg.net/spectralayers/ - a spectral editor which has features to remove or reduce unwanted frequencies. It is primarily a standalone program but can be accessed from an audio event on Vegas Pro's timeline if SpectraLayers Pro is set in preferences as the preferred audio editor.

There is a trial version so you can see if it does what you want to achieve before purchasing. Please note that there is some talk on Spectralayer's forum that the next version - 12 - might be released very soon, possibly within days.
