How to move edited Video/Audio together

GeoffCampbell wrote on 12/6/2002, 2:56 PM
When I first import clips via Vegas Capture, the clips of video & audio move in sinc on the time line. After I make all of my edits, how can I lock everything together so that I can move everything in sinc like the original clips. I've made a short film, and I want to change my opening logo, without having to move every edit around again. Can this be done, and if so, how?

Happy, and Blessed, Holidays!

Thanks for any help,

There are a few ways to lock events together, one of the easiest I've found, especially for moving all clips is to go to edit->select all then you can move all events together.

Or you can click on one clip, then hold the control key and select all the clips that you want to move with it.

Press Ctrl+A to select all events. Then press the "G" (Group) key. Now all of the events will move as a group. The "U" key will ungroup selected events. (One caveat though: If you group events and then ungroup them, the audio tracks will no longer be grouped with their originally associated video tracks.)
