How to open part of video in Soundforge?

Hi,
I'm relatively new to working with video and hope someone can help me with this one.
I work with Vegas 7 and Soundforge 9, all latest updates. I have shot video with a lot of echo in it, and am reducing it with a trick earlier mentioned in this forum.
Now one take, I want to open partially in Soundforge, the rest I want to leave untouched. But how to open only a part in SF, it is always the whole take that shows up. Splitting does not help. I run out of tricks. Does anyone know how to get there? I would be very grateful.

After splitting the part you want, highlight it only then right click the highlighted section and select "open copy in sound forge". After performing what you want in sound forge it will save as a take in Vegas.

You can do the trick in Vegas.

Thanks for the solution, JJ, it worked fine. Bob,I know, that I can invert the phase in Vegas (via properties), but how about compression and mixing back into the original?
By the way, I come across some nasty ticks, perhaps they are worse than the echo. The more you work on the sound, the more you hear it, I'm afraid.

I still have a lot to learn, see?
