How to Read Audio and PQs in one pass???

jdupre wrote on 7/8/1999, 9:09 PM
When I attempt to read an entire disc and subcode into CD Architect, the Audio ends up in
soundforge, and the PQ code ends up in Architect, without linking the audio file to the playlist.
If I then try to add the audio to the playlist, all the PQ codes get shifted up beyond the audio.

The only way I have been able to copy the Audio and code into Architect is to read the Audio,
save it as a file, place the audio file in the playlist, and then read the PQ code from the disk.

Isn't there a way to read the Audio and PQ into Architect in one pass???

Joe,

We have actually documented the proceedure on how this is done. Please go to
the support page of our site and under the FAQ Database, CD Architect
Frequently Asked Questions see the topic " How do I make a copy of a CD using
CD Architect?"

Taking this one step further. I'm trying to use CD Architect for audio
extraction of Tracks and Indexes. What is the proper procedure to get the cd
extracted into wav files based on consecutive tracks and indexes? For example,
I have sound effects CD's that will have a track with no indexes followed by a
track with nine indexes. I need to extract into consecutive wav files based on
the track/index order of the cd.

As far as copying the CD, the PQ code read should pick up the index data.
We do not have a facility in CD Architect to separate data between indexes
into seperate tracks if you choose to read by tracks. The proceedure for
copying will work to recreate the disk because it involves matching up a
read of the audio into one file with the PQ code.
