I use RecordNow Max but Nero should be similar. All I do is record something else over it. It tells me that the media isn't blank and asks if I want to erase it. I say yes and it erases the disc and lays down the new material.

Thanks rs170a.

I just tried that but it is looking for a disc in my CDRW drive.

I have a DVDRW - obviously there is conflict and will not work.

How do I get NEro to burn to my DVDRW drive and not to my CDRW drive?

Sorry Bit but I've never used Nero so I can't help you out. Like you, I've got both CD & DVD burners and I just tell RecordNow, with a drop-down menu, which one I want to use.

Bit of Byte, which Nero are you using? Smartstart? Express? Version?

In Nero 6.x:

1. Select your drive. If you have multiple drives (sounds like you have both a CD-RW and DVD-RW drive), you first have to select the drive that contains your DVD-RW.

2. Select Recorder -> Erase Rewriteable Disc.

Version 5.5.10 Nero

DO not know where Recorder is?

How do I select the DVD-RW in the first instance?
