Can you help me with red eye removal. Added photos behind video I need remove red eye from photos I went to project menu but I am unable to find remove red eye.
You can't do this with a video editor. You need a picture manipulation to do this properly. There are many cheap picture editors that have automatic red eye removal options. Vegas has a few ways to deal with it, e.g. the cookie cutter, but it's not the right application to do this kind of thing.
"Red Eye Reduction" has long been on the feature list of the Vegas products, but I've never had the occasion to try it out. See the fifth item under "Video" here:
Below is what the Vegas (Pro 10) Help said when I searched for "red eye". Give it a try and let us know how it works out.
Removing Red Eye from Still Images
We've all been there—you have the perfect picture for your movie, but the subject's eyes are glowing a bright red. That might be okay for a sci-fi epic, but not for your movie. No worries. With Vegas Pro, you can remove red eyes and make your subjects look human again.
1. Right-click a still image on the timeline (or in the Project Media window) and choose Red Eye Reduction from the shortcut menu.
2. Click the center of the red eye and drag to create a selection around the red portion of the eye.
Click the + or - buttons to change the magnification of the image, or roll the mouse wheel forward or backward to zoom around the cursor position.
For keyboard shortcuts to help you navigate in the Red Eye Reduction dialog, click here.
3. Drag to position the selection box over the portion of the eye you want to correct.
Drag the borders of the selection box to adjust its size. Vegas Pro automatically adjusts the portion of the image in the selection box to remove red eye.
Right-click a selection box and choose Delete from the shortcut menu to remove it.
4. Readjust the selection box as needed, and repeat this procedure for each red eye in the image.
If an image is used multiple times in your project, removing the red eyes once will affect all instances of the image.
Learn something everyday. It helps to be a newbie :). I just did a test on one still and render it to 1920x1080 mp4. The result looks very good. It even added a little sparkle to the eye so the subject's eye doesn't look "dead".
Tim L is correct. The red eye removal tool is already built in to Vegas. Simply right click on the still image on the timeline and use the red eye removal tool. Tip: use <ctrl><scroll wheel> to zoom into the eyes for editing purposes.
