How to remove stuff that is not licensed

Hi,

I'm relatively inexperienced user of Vegas Pro. I've recently upgraded from version 14.0 to version 16.0. The upgraded version comes with lots of transitions/effects from company called BCC for which you need to purchase a separate license. Is there a way for this stuff that needs an extra license to not show up in the transitions/Video FX tabs?

Also with the upgrade I've got the serial number for something called proDAD Vitascene 3 LE, but there is no way to enter it in the program, because it requires a license file (*.lic) which I don't have. I had to download the program from the proDAD WEB site, because there was no information about how to install it in the upgrade e-mail from Magix.

Any help will be highly appreciated 😀

Which version of Vegas Pro 16 did you buy, Edit, Pro or Suite?

Probably you did something wrong during the installation.

With Boris you get after the installation and giving your activation code next choice

If you select to remove all unlicensed plugins, the not licensed are not visible anymore and you get this window

now you are able to end the installation succesfull.

Silly me! I was so eager to start using Vegas Pro that I indeed rushed the installation. With BCC stuff I did not select the "Remove all unlicensed plugins" - really should pay attention to those installation messages😉. The same with proDAD stuff - here one unchecked box to many. Re-run Vegas Pro installation and things seen to work OK now. Thanks for really fast response

Not cool! Had the same issue with Boris transition effects that came bundled with Vegas... (only to find out after weeks of emails back and forth to so-called "customer service"... that they didn't really all come with vegas... that it was an upsell scheme). It's awfully backwards to have to hit a button to "eliminate all unlicensed effects" that were just loaded on your system during the bundled vegas install. Bad form Magix!!!

Bad form Magix!!!

Why ?
It's business and that means give little in order to gain a lot from people who are not reading well and think they got something for a little that cost normally 10 times more. What is Magix to blame they use that kind of bussiness of another partner like BCC to promote their own program.
If you want the whole BBC suite, buy it from BBC and you have nothing to do with Vegas versions.

The Boris 'freebie' only comes with one licence whilst VP16 allows installation on two machines.  Discovered this whilst installing on my editors machine.  (VP16 & 'Boris' installed on test pc first)

Looking at Windows 'start menu' Boris allows for deactivation of the licence so it looks as though it can be shared between 2 machines.    If this is so then 1 licence is fair.  Just a case of deactivating on main pc before embarking on a field trip with  laptop.   Have yet to test this idea but other users may well know the answer.
