How to remove transition effects?

I create my transition then drag and drop an effect on it... like a Zoom or Barn Door or whatever... Works great but...

How do I remove a transition effect later on... (too late for Ctl-Z)

Click on the transition to select it and put the cursor there and then press "/" on the number pad. Alternately, you can right-click the transition, choose Transition, and then "Change to Crossfade".

Right-Click where the events overlap, go to Transition, and choose Convert to (whatever you want -- probably Crossfade).

Or if you want to use a different transition, then just drag a different one onto the overlap. Vegas will replace the old transition with the new.
