How to render a section to avi

I created some text footage with a title on it using the Media Generators...

..it was about 10 seconds long.
..I selected the section and did a Slectively Pre-Render Video...
..With the Render Loop Region Only box checked.

I ended up with 4 AVI files. Vegas Prerendered Video File 000 thru 003 !!??

Why didn't it render as one continious AVI file?

Am I doing this incorrectly?

Why do a pre render? Just select highlight the section of the timeline you want, check loop region when the render dialog box pops up and do just a regular render. File/render as, then pick the file type and template you want to use.

Try Tools>Render to new track (Ctrl/M)
