How to render for quicktime playback?

I have a celebration of life (funeral) slide show to produce. 60-70 pics and music and some graphics. The organization showing the production has asked that it be delivered to them as a quicktime data file so they can drag it to their desktop (I'm assuming a Mac) for showing with their AV equipment. It is being done in SD. Since I am strictly a PC Vegas guy can I get some help as to how I should render this. They asked that I give it to them on a DVD as a data file. But I don't see why I couldnt give it to them on a flash drive (if I have one large enough) ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thanks.

Sounds like they want a quicktime *.mov file.

Render as Quicktime

Use DV as the compression type. Uncompressed may be too large for their computer to handle.

Then save to a flash drive or a data dvd.

An encode to AVC .mp4 in Vegas should play just fine in Quicktime on a Mac. You can change the extension to .mov if you want, but it isn't necessary.

Well, I am using V7, for reasons I wont get into) and the only QT it has to render into is QT7. I have tried several different forms but cannot get a decent render. The video has a lot of zooming and panning (via track motion) and they play back very ragged (jumpy). I can render it out as an MPG2 and it comes out satisfactory - decent quality and smooth movement. Butnot when I try to render it as AVC or .mov. I can make a DVD video that they should be able to play if their equipment can play a DVD but I can't seem to get a data file for QT that will work satisfactorily. Any ideas guys. Could use some help!
Thanks.
