How to render many chapters to one movie

Surely this is an easy question - but it seems I just can not find the answer:
I have edited a 4 weeks tour to China to 7 "chapters".
They are in .vf format as I edited them with VMS (I just recently upgraded to "Full" Vegas).
Now: How can I render theese 7 chapters to one video - and not loose the possibility to still edit the single chapters.
If I just loined all 7 chapters the resulting timeline would be a monster and very unhandy... ?

Have you tried opening a new project and inserting each .vf file on the timeline in the order you want (nested vegs). I assume you can do this with .vf files as well in Vegas 7.

Here is the workflow I follow for my 12 chapter annual family video:

1. Create each month as a chapter (each in its own project file)
2. Use a Vegas script to render each chapter
3. Put the resulting 12 chapters in a project with markers between each
4. Render again for DVDA 4
5. Backup the 12 project files using another Vegas script for safe keeping just in case my wife wants something changed.

There may be a more streamlined approch. Vegas 7 is great! It's even better with US2

One thing you can do is to render 7 chapters, then use end actions to go from one chapter to another. There will be a small break between each chapter point, but it should be insignificant.

I tried to insert the 7 chapters as .vf files into the timeline as nested veg's as proposed - and this is precisely what I hoped for.
I also found out that it is even easier to display the Tracklist and then drag and drop the .vf (or .veg) files to the tracklist.
