Excuseme but I'm new to VV.I need to save a 4 min video
with 16 bit and 44.1 Khz audio to AVI (I'm using 1 video
track and 1 audio track) My final file is no less than 850
meg. can I compress this in any way to burn it in a 650 meg
CD. Am I making something wrong? I think my video with
audio is very small to not fit in a 650 CD. Thank for your
Help!
Elith.

Typically, DV video/audio runs at approximately 200
megabytes per minute, give or take 20 or 30 megabytes. So
your 850MB estimate for a 4 minute video makes sense (4 min
times 200MB).
As far as compressing it into something smaller, you're
going to have to sacrifice quality, first of all, and
second of all, it won't be in the NTSC DV format (if that's
what you're aiming for). Unless there's another way that
I'm not thinking of? Maybe one of the regulars can help you
out.
