How to save a clip forever in the program media?

Hello!

I have Vegas Pro 20 recently and i really don't know and can't find solution to that.

Most of the time I edit videos for YouTube and there are some short clips that I use very often. Every time I drag them into the program I have to re-adjust where they should be positioned etc. I would like to save myself those unnecessary clicks and just save these short clips in the program and every time I need them I can just find them in the project media or somewhere else and drag them into the program without redoing them every time. Is it even possible to save some clips so that they stay in the program always and I can drag them when I need them? thanks!

Create a project that has the clips adjusted in Project Media or timeline as you want them. Save the project and treat it as a "template" by opening it each time for a new project but immediately save it under a new name so your "template" file is untouched and available for your next project..

It makes sense, but I was wondering if there is a way to save a clip in the program and after you open the new project, this clip should always be in a folder that I have chosen, for example for example in project media, and I can use it in any project I want without having to redo everything changes on the clip. anyway, thank you for the advice, if I don't find such an option as I'm looking for, I will certainly use your advice!

If you don't want go the 'template' route, then you could individually render each of the 'standard' video events with all the changes made to those events and place them in a folder of your choice for future use. This would mean that all the 'changes' are embedded in the rendered video event and don't need to be done again.

BTW, with the 'template' approach, all the changes that you have made to the 'standard' video events when creating the template will still be there for the following projects that use that template and thus don't need to be redone unless you want to make changes to them.
