How to save a graphic in media generators?

Hi folks, I have a graphic that I use often and would like to save it in the media gerators tab. Is there a way to do it? I hate having to go into explorer and
go into sub folder to choose it. It would be very convenient to do it through
the media generators tab. I did a search and couldn't find anything on this
topic.

Thanks,

Alex

No. The point of the media generators is that they generate the media on the fly rather than using any pre-existing media. It really wouldn't make any sense to add media to this tab. However, maybe a separate tab of "favorites" might be a nice idea for a future feature.

Perhaps you could create a Vegas project exclusively for frequently used media. You could then open up two instances of Vegas, one with your current project, and one with the media source in it (on the timeline). You'd then just have to copy and paste from one to the otjher.

The other way to do it would be to put a quicklink on your taskbar to a folder containing the media you use all the time. Click it once to open the folder and drag'n'drop into Vegas.

If it is just one pic, you can drop that on the taskbar as a quick link and then drag it straight into vegas from there. Magic :)

ibliss that was an incredible soluton! Creating a folder on the taskbar! I would
NEVER have thought about that! That's what you call "thinking out of the box" or in this case "ou of VEGAS" I tried it and I LIKE it! Thanks Again.

And Chienworks, you are right, Sony should create a favourites tab.

Thanks again folks.

Yeah . . and a Script Tab! Then I could place all my favourite Scripts in there. Maybe with a User freindly icon .. Think about having the Excalibur Wizard WIZARD in a scripting "tabbed" Window . .like the TRimmer or Media Pool?

If your graphic is made with the media generator you could save it as a preset. Just type in a name and click the little floppy icon.

That's the problem, the graphic was generated using Photoshop.
