How to save regions to read them next time from a timeline?

I would like to ask which format preserves regions (markers). I know that once when you rendered a movie containing markers, after importing it to the program, you could see the markers.

However, I noticed that it doesn't work now. Maybe I'm using a format that doesn't support markers?

What rendering settings should I choose to be able to preserve markers?

The best idea would be to go through the various render options that you would prefer and check whether or not "Save project markers in rendered media file" is available or greyed out in Render Options:

It's available in some render formats but not in others so you'll likely find a format that will suit your needs.

Note: I've not ever used this selection so I can't attest to the result.

I know there is such an option but this option does not work. After importing the rendered movie the markers in the program do not show up.
