How to scale image / video to full size?

I was working on a project on Sony Vegas. When I go to import a photo in the sequence, it doesn't come out as I want it to. When I try to scale it, it only scales in like the bottom right corner. If i try to scale it full, a black background will cover some of it. Any help? I hope that makes sense.

How do you scale it, and how should it look?

Maybe you have deactivated

  • "Size about center" (Pan&Crop)
  • "Scale about center" (Track Motion)

If you want it only to fit it to your video size, at Pan&Crop select your specific ratio preset

Open the Pan / Crop Window.  Then Right-Click on the Image and select Match Output Aspect.
