How to select an event using the keyboard?

This question may sound trivial, but I could not find the answer in the manual or here.

I have several events on the same track, and I want to select a single event using the keyboard. I know you can do this by left clicking the event, but I am a keyboard fan. All the navigation shortcuts are known to me, but it seems that selecting an event is not possible without a mouse click. Am I right?

Thanks.

the only way I know of is to use the Edit Details window.

first switch to Events (not Selected Events)

you can customize the column arrangement so that the Select column is at the beginning (the first column)

then you can use the arrow keys (up/down) and the space bar to select/unselect events. use alt+0 and alt+4 to switch focus between track view and edit details view.

Try the [ and ] keys. If no events are selected, they will select the event under the cursor, on the focus track. If an event is selected, they walk the event edges so that you can edit them with the NumPad 1/3 or 4/6 keys, or your ShuttlePRO jog dial.
