How to Set 10-minute Chapter/Skip Markers?

Hi,

How do you set chapter markers so that when the viewer clicks the skip/next chapter button on their dvd remote, it moves forward by 10 minutes?

I'm guessing it's just in DVDA, on the timeline, right-click and insert/M scene/chapter marker, every 10 minutes, right?

Although I've created dozens of dvds w/DVDA over the years, I've never inserted chapter/scene markers in DVDA (I've just used separate video clips); in this project it's a single 90-minute video, and I want the viewer to be able to skip forward 10 minutes at a time.

so let's say they're watching it, now at minute 22 they want to skip forward, they should be able to click the forward/scene skip on their remote and jump to minute 30, watch a bit, then click again, to minute 40, and so on

many thanks, for any insights/tips (especially any "gotchas" that aren't written about that I should be aware of, or tips).

Ken,

You have it right. Go to 10 minutes and insert a Marker, 20 minutes, etc.

If you do this in Vegas there are scripts that will automate this, but you can do it manually in DVDA.

thanks Dave, I appreciate it... i used to use separate video clips, linked via the menu, seems like chapters (set in Vegas during editing, then auto-imported into dvda) is a smarter approach i should've been doing all these years..

Just left click and type 'm' will do it.
