How to specify storage of VV3 Files in computer

Hi -

I use a separate 120GB hard-drive to swap work-sessions between a laptop with 20GB total storage (split between 6 & 12 GB internal drive partitions) and a desktop with 100GB storage (in one big drive partition), both running WinXP.

My questions is: How do I specify in VV3 where to store my sessions where I want, rather than where VV3 wants them to go? I'd think there'd be one place that allows me to point that session, and all following ones, to a certain location to save/open files (similar to the procedure in Windows Office Settings).

Doing this would allow me the flexibility to carry my work around with me or allow me to work at home. Additionally, I only have a limited (for this day and age, just think back a couple years) amount of storage on the little drive on the laptop, so I'd sure like to be able to force it to go to the bigger partition, or better yet to the separate drive. I've tried going into FILE>PROPERTIES>PRERENDERED FILE FOLDER... and into TOOLS > PREFERENCES > GENERAL > TEMPORARY FILES FOLDER... on each machine every time I open VV3, but that seems like using a hammer to swat a fly.

I'm sure there's a simpler solution, but haven't found it (I even read the Instructions!!). I'm not too computer-literate, so please don't send me into the Registry or something.

Thanks!
Ron
