HOW TO: Split Audio from Audio..

Hey all.. Just started using Sony Vegas Studio, and am trying to work out how to split the audio from the video footage.. So basically I want both parts but want to be able to just edit audio and not the video part etc.. Thanx..

If you have MORE than one event on the timeline i.e. more than one video and associated audio track, then first click on the event that you want to edit followed by pressing 'U' on the keyboard. This will then unlock the video and audio tracks allowing you to edit each one separately. For example: try doing the above and having done so, right click on the audio track and choose 'delete'. You will now see that only the audio portion of the event has been removed. Choose 'Edit' > 'Undo' to get back to where you were before.
