How to stop delay????

I have a P3 at 535 mghertz I currently upgraded to 327 RAM. My current project is one minute long with one audio track and 3 different video clips at different times but each is run by different players (Real Player, Windows Player and Quicktime). I'm still getting delays could this be I need more Ram? Is my computer to slow? Or is it because I'm running to many movie players?

Help...

Randy,

Your project is probably playing slowly for a few reasons:

1. Your processor could be too slow
2. You're working with compressed formats
3. You may have resource-hogging programs running in the background

Close stuff running in the background, or try converting your source files to Cinepak, DV, or some other non-streaming format if you want to avoid the delays. Regardless of the lag though, the project should render to file without any skips.
