VMS doesn't provide that info. It's a video editor, not a DVD authoring tool.

There are some calculators on the net that can give you a very good size estimate based on your length, bitrate, etc. Go to google and type the search term "bitrate calculator" and the first site that comes up should be a very good calculator.

You'll have to check the DVDA template in the "render as..." dialog to see what your compression bitrate is - I don't have my VMS machine in front of me, so can't tell the default (which you can't change as I recall). IIRC though, the bitrate default for VMS is on the high sided and won't let you get as much video on the DVD as if you rendered from VMS to DV AVI and then used the "fit to disk" option in DVDAS.

Place the cursor at the beginning of the section you want to cut out. Press S to split. Move the cursor to the end of that section, Press S again. Double-click that section to highlight it and press Delete. If you have ripple edits on then the part afterwards will automatically move over to fill in the space. If not, drag the right part of the clip over to the left part to close up the gap manually.
