How to unloop region?

Hi,
This has been driving me bunker for years. Sometime I click an empty area of the timeline to quickly jump to that time; unfortunately I sometime drag ever so slightly and, of course, Vegas move the loop region to that area.

How do I get rid of that? I mean, short of dragging both cursor all the way back to the start?

I'd be forever grateful for any shortcut offered.

There are a few ways:

1. Hit the I and O keys on your keyboard, which sets the In and Out point of the selection to the same place, thereby closing the loop.

2. Hit your backspace key, which cycles backwords through the last five selections (so whatever your selection was before you moved the cursor, it will be again).

3. Go to Option > Preferences > Editing tab and check "Collapse loop region when no time selection is present." Then, whenever you click at a single spot on the timeline, your loop will close automatically.

Usually, I just left click again. You may see the loop markers, but it's no longer looped (unless you push the 'Loop Playback' button)
