How to update Vegas Pro 9

When I go into my account, I can get a screen to click up updating Vegas Pro 9. When I click on it I get a screen listing updates for all products. When I click AGAIN on Pro 9, it takes me to a screen that only allows downloading the whole program. If I don't do that, it takes me back to the first screen. How do I get to the update file?

There is no file that merely patches your existing installation. You download the entire new version of the software and install it. It will install right over top of your existing installation of Vegas.

My installation is 64 bit. The Update says it's a download for 32 bit. How do I get a 64 bit download?

Click the down arrow button to the right of that box and you'll see many different versions listed - including 64-bit.

Every so-called update IS the Whole Program.
ie: You do NOT need v8a to update/install v8b.
You simply install the latest version... so if you buy v9, you would actually want to install v9a (hopefully v9b soon)

For instance, if you just purchased ACID Pro 7 you would download and install the latest version 7c... NOT installing v7, v7a, or v7b. The download/install is a COMPLETE install for all the Sony Creative Software apps. Pretty cool, huh?
