Hi all,
my project is almost finished but at the very last moment I decided to use this video as the opening shot!

I tried with BCC optical stabilizer.
It said "please click the Analyse button to continue" but I realized that it does not process the full frame but as if I zoomed??

What are the correct settings?

And at the end will it worth it?

Thanks in advance.

No, what's doing is compensating for the movement in the video so that you don't see black edges all around. That video is extremely shaky. For example: If at any point the camera shakes 1/8 of the way across the screen, any stabilizer will have to zoom in 1/8 to compensate.

For that footage you must change the Mode to Smooth since it's a traveling shot. Then change Stabilize to Translation+Rotation and then play with the Optical Flow parameters.

I could not get it stable with BCC Optical Stabilizer but I'm not an expert on the plug-in. I did, however, apply Mercalli 2 to it and it came out reasonably stable using the "Glide Camera" preset with "Rolling-Shutter Compensation" enabled. I uploaded a side-by-side view to Vimeo but it says I have to wait 30 minutes for it to process (this is why I use YouTube) ;-)

Here is the link when it finally works:

I can send you the final video if you want to use it in your production. Just email me via this web site.

nice jr - very impressed. (i thought v2 pretty cool on my 'dolly' shots, but looking at the amount of shake in te sample, pretty amazing really!)

Yes, it was like a real magic!
I would not believe in if somebody told me before that the result will be like that!

Thanks a lot Jr.

I think I should apply some noise reduction with BCC??
