HP DVD100i & MyDVD

Just wanted to let everyone know that I installed the new HP DVD+RW drive last night and burned my first DVD. The new MyDVD software was extremely easy and my first project went off without a hitch. Played the DVD in my Sony DVD player and everything worked and quality was great. I was concerned that it was going to be difficult based on the recent forum threads I've been reading. Cheers,

How much did it cost?[$599?] Are you able to burn a data cd as well.Burns both sides? Let me know how the compatibility is with vegas 3.

The HP DVD100i does support CD-R and CD-RW along with the DVD+RW. I haven't tried to burn anything directly from VV. I used MyDVD software that came with the drive to burn my DVD. The software transcoded it from AVI and burned onto the disk. Yes, I paid $599 for the drive. I'll have to look into the double side question. Today I believe it only support 4.7 GB single sided. More to come when I have more time to play with it.

GG, I can't seem to find anything about the 'plus' features or 9 GB disks. Here's the URL for the fact sheet: http://dvd.hp-at-home.com/dvd100iSpecs.html Maybe you can point me in the direction where I can find the 'plus' features. Thanks
