I am hoping vegas 3 will have better latency and automation.

I think latency is becoming a big issue any more.Programs like sawstudio have NO latency.Turn on a direct x plug and there is no stopping of playback or glitches.Smooth as silk.
Turn it off and get same results.Vegas is a bit sluggish when it comes to on the fly plugin workings.
I get audio to stop when opening my fx files to chain a new plug.Shouldn't happen!Automation???Well yes !!!
Vegas has the best editing and multitrack around.Very fast.Just need to tighten the screws alittle more.
Metering could be better{latency} while recording. Not accurate.
Again sonar is doing well with latency.
Come on Sonic.Let us get back to what made you famous as a company and made us all buy the products. You started in audio.Do not let the audio slide anymore.
Keeping up with the joneses is important.
I work long hours with this program and others as well and these are the shorts of my experience, day in and out.
Show me the contender to sonar, sawstudio, nuendo, protools.
P.s. a surround plug would be nice as well.Thanx
This is another part of our new audio world. All others are in the game.
Join us ,please??
P.s. I purchased sawstudio for it's latency and great interface.$2500.
That is alot of dough, but in our biz the customer likes to be wooed with great gear.Studio is like having an ssl on your computer. We used to have to have ssls to get a customer to use our rooms.
It still matters.
Again still not as good as far as editing and track manipulations in Vegas.Combine the two and OUCH!!!
Hear ye hear ye,I am now off my podium.
Thanx for the air.
Comon Sonic.Balls in your court!!
