I can't see the lines! Feature request?

I run V5 with the options "ruler format = Time & Frames" and "grid spacing = seconds". (19" glass monitor @ 1280x1024) Since I rely heavily on the grid lines to set up the correct timing for cuts, cross-fades, and other time-sensitive things, it's fairly important that I can actually *SEE* them. Unfortunately, they seem to be fixed at a pedestrian grey color which is hard to see against the equally bland track backgrounds and i can't find any way to change it. Am I missing an option item or something? (Windows application background settings aren't helping - I need to change the color and luminocity of the grid lines radically)

If there's no way to change the color, please consider this a feature request. I'd also like to see the ability to lock the ruler to a single gradation that stays constant regardless of zoom levels.

Hold the shift key and select the preference from the menu.

You will now see a tab labeled INTERNAL.

In the bottom box enter Color.

The first item will be Empty Track Color. I could not find a setting for the lines, but changing the background yields the should help.

Change this color to something like FFFFEE of FFFFDD which will be very pale blue. The black grid will be easier to see. FFFFFF is white but seems too hard on the eyes. Click into another box and the Apply key will become active. If you don't like it mess around till you find a color you like. Standard color RGB in hex.

WARNING: Changing things in this menu can completely mess up Vegas so bad that it will not function! Use at your own risk.

Good Luck!

Thanks! That's the 'secret menu' I was looking for. :)
