Well, below is a thread I keep handy to remind me.

I just did some Spring cleaning - again! - found a mass of old files PLUS the newer stuff, not deleted, in the new V6 folder . . coooo... got rid, actually put these temp files and what not into a Desktop "SAVE" folder - just in case - and did some tests on V5 qand now the new V6! Wow .. it flew itself up on my screens . . V6 was like a mad thing! It must have fired up in about a 1/5 of the time.

Ok, here's the thread . .. whatever YOU do it is at your risk! - As I said I didn;t delete any of the files, I just put them somewehre elese while I awss testing this.

Actually, one of the first things I do with ALL of the Sony applications is go into the Preferences and set the Temp folder to my temp folder (C:\TEMP). I have ZoneLabs Suite which cleans out my temp folder on a regular schedule so these files never build up on my system. Just something to consider.

Oh! JR? Do the UNDO buffer "dead" files appear there too? - G

Yep, The Vegas Undo Buffer 1.tmp, etc., files are all in my C:\TEMP folder.
