I hate premiere! i was checking the dvinfo.net forums about the film movie look ideas...and i saw this http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/movielooks.html ....red giants software made a movie looks library plug in for premiere pro with 40 film look presets in it...i know there are ways to experiment this in Vegas but i think it would be cool to have it...so please sony...can we have something like that in Vegas 5?...and also rotoscopy???

this is also another link with example screenshots about that plug in -->> http://nawaf.com/movielooks/

Wow, now there is a plug-in (nawaf.com) that would be worth having--for me anyway.

Thanks for sharing that! Hopefully, SONY will give this one some serious consideration for V5!

First of all, 80% of what is being done with the Bullet plug can be done in Vegas now, already. I'm demoing this at Expo from 1-2.
Second, Sony sure isn't going to let the competition just run right by them.
Seems like it's been a long time, but keep in mind that Sony's only owned Vegas for a few short months.
I'm pretty excited about what they are bringing to the table. GREAT bunch of people, that's for sure. They are exceptionally enthused about Vegas.

Red Giant distributes the Magic Bullet plug-ins. I believe what you are talking about is just a Premiere version of the AE Magic Bullet plugs. The whole film look issue has been talked about time and time again, most recently in reguards to the new VEGAS plug-in from Zenote. http://www.zenote.com. If you want to use some of the AE plugs in VV you can get RedGL and use the DFT Digital Film Lab plug-in. (Other plugs might work as well but I have really only tested this one)

(And once again Spot beat me to the punch)

Personnally, I don't plan about using this bullet effect very much, but I'd reaaaaaally like to get this rotoscopy app: THIS, I would use often for corrections/effects !

In my opinion, the best film effect plugin is FilmFX from bigfx.com. It produces the most convincing results of all the plugins I have tried (including Magic Bullet.) It is a plug-in for Premiere, After Effects and a few other NLE packages. I talked to the creator of FilmFX a while back and he said he was planning to port FilmFX over to Vegas, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe we all need to send him some e-mail urging him to get it done. Here's the address:

Aaron's been working on it, and he's got some great stuff going you've not seen yet. Pretty impressive, IMO.

A few weeks ago - Zenote. I mentioned it above and it was talked about in it's own thread when it first came out. From what has been said Vegas is limited so they can't port FilmFX over 'as is' so they are releasing individual plug-ins. Zenote.com for more info.

Does anyone see a bit of an issue looming here?
Company XYZ develops fancy plugin for VV and six months later Sony releases new version with much the same thing built in.
Situation can become much the same as it is with Apple.

I've tried the Zenote plugins and am extremely impressed. I was able to create a wonderfully saturated look to a cheap video camera's output with the glow plugin, and after adding DVFilmmaker processing to it it looks very filmic. (Albeit within the limits of the camcorder's capturing abilities). I find their blur plugin so much easier and versatile than the built-in plugins in Vegas and have found great uses for it also.

If Vegas adds the same capabilities that's great. In the meantime, I think the Zenote plugins add tremendous value to my family films and photo movies.
