I have a problem capturing video

I use the DAZZLE Digital video creator 80 to capture video from my analog VCR. When i try to record it with VF 2.0c demo, i get in some problems. No audio, only video. At first there seems to be no problems. When the new window opens up after pressing the record button, i see the video playing. Then, when i hit the video capture button, there seems to be no problem yet. But when i press the stop button, the program freeze! Nothing i can do to end it. Only solution is to reboot from desktop button. I tried to end the program with Task manager in XP, but it wouldnt end it.

Can someone help me out? Is the problem with the Dazzle equipment compatibility? What should i do?

I can easily record with Windows Movie Maker, no problem at all. But u cant edit much with it :(

How can i import a video i record with Windows Movie Maker to Video Factory? It always tell me: cant open that type of file. What type of file does VF support?

Im new to movie making and need help!

i have a amd athlon 1600+, 256 DDR, 30gigs 66

Try a search for 'dazzle' and you'll get nearly 500 posts! There's a few unhappy videors (is there such a word?) out there. Also there seems to be a few conflicts betwix xp and some video editing suites. What some folk do is partition their hd and have 2000 or 98+ on one partition and xp elsewhere.

What you'll get with VF when all's well is a superb and stable editing suite. And the forum users are nice supportive folk too.

Do you have the Dazzle DVC-80? You hook up the RCA cables to the device (1 video, and 2 audio), then it plugs into a USB port??? I started with this, and it worked for me. The only problem I had was alot of dropped frames, but otherwise it worked.
