I have an HD Camera

UBCMedia wrote on 8/24/2010, 9:42 AM
My Church bought a JVC GY-HM100U Camera which will record video in either Quicktime File Format (for Final Cut Pro) and MP4 file format.

I shot some video in both formats but can't get either to word whith Movie Studio HD.

When I import the Quicktime... I get sound but no video.
And it does not recognize the MP4. (Which I can play in Media Player)

The Quicktime files are XDCAM HD Files

Again...I need assistance getting these videos produced

Please post your Vegas version.
Please post your Quicktime version.
Please post your media properties using MediaInfo.
If possible, please upload a sample to Mediafire or another upload service (not Youtube).

A couple of things, based on the limited information you were able to provide.

-- You are the first to report using QT 7.6.7 with VMS 10 (afaik). It was designed around 7.6.6 and below. Missing MP4 and MOV audio or video is a very common symptom with incompatible versions, as you saw from my previous link.

-- Only Vegas Pro promises XDCAM support, not Vegas Movie Studio.

Again, if you will upload a camera sample to MediaFire, others may be able to test it and offer some suggestions.
