I have installed .NET, but Vegas still won't let me do scrips... help!

I gone to Windows update and installed all of the updates (including the .NET one)

But I'm still not able to run any scripts from within Vegas... It says the following:

"Failed to initialize script engine. Please install the .NET framework (download is available from Windows Update)

But I've already done this and Vegas still won't let me run Scripts...

What gives?

Best to all!

I'm Running Windows XP Pro SP-1

Uninstall and reinstall Vegas. In a few cases it has been required that Vegas be installed AFTER the .NET framework.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Best to you!

install .net 1.1 , not 1.0

Tried the uninstall, reinstall, after NET 1.1 install... Not making much progress, I'm not sure if it's because my sample scripts are bad or what. Any more assistance is greatly appreciated

What is your current error message?

It's different on different sample scripts.

On AddEffectToAllMedia, "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

BatchRender, triggers a "Common Language Runtime Debugging Service" prompt: "app has generated an exception that could not be handled", asks me to "debug", I try to debug, then Vegas disappears.

etc.
