I have the most basic question as a total noob

I just bought Vegas Pro 22 and don't know if it has interactive layers ie layer compositing effects? You know like Hard Light or Exclusion those type of layer effects? Thanks!!

It does, look for blending modes at the track level. Search help for compositing.
