I have to wait after every 'change of a moment' in sony vegas pro 13

Hey!

Please first of all take a look at the video. As you can see, every time I change from a certain moment to another moment of the video in sony vegas pro 13, I have to wait minimum a second. Sometime it goes fast without waiting time but it happens barely. I also show you my task manager, in this way you can see that my cpu goes really high at the moment I change from a certain moment to another moment of the video. Please help me as it annoys me that I have to wait every time I do this.

Thank you in advance!

I'd say this is expected behaviour. Just the way it is.

It looks like normal behaviour to me as well. I am not sure what you expect to happen. It is a compressed file so it takes a bit for the CPU to start decoding.

Thank you for your answer. But isn't it annoying? And does this same happen on other editing softwares like adobe premiere pro...?

(btw, my cpu is i5-3750k and sony vegas is in my ssd)

Not to me. It is editing software so I don't find the need to jump around that much to be annoying.

OK, thank you. And 1 last question: My video laggs a lot until I change the project settings to match that particular video, but what if I use videos from different resolutions and fps? I can only set 1 project setting for the whole project. Thank you.

Correct. You have to have a project setting. Generally, it is recommended that your project be set to match the majority of your source footage. Another approach is to set the project for your final output. Just another hazard of mixing footage.
