Simply use an animated gif with an X amount of blank frames at the beginning.

Simple enough, no? Make sure the highlite button has the same principle.

You can't delay the appearance of the subpicture/highlight with DVDA 1 or 2, so for now you are stuck with having an intro movie that leads directly into a menu that looks identical to the end point of your intro movie.
