I know I am making some dumb mistake rendering

It is my first time rendering with Vegas. I am trying to render a 9 min video/audio as avi on a drive that has 29.4 GB free. It stops after it is 20% rendered and says an error occured while creatiing file - ect.
I want to send back to camera
Template NTCS DV 720x480
2997Fps 0.9091
Best quality

is this using the stock NTSC DV template or has it been modified?

Also, what version of Vegas?

It is Vegas 2.0
The template was not modified. But I did make a change on video capt.options preferences - under print to tape I changed 4000 to 3500 as someone advised me.

It was a dumb mistake. On the render as file I had left default on one of the settings. I changed it and now it is working great.
Glad I switch to Vegas.
