I lost all my ExpressFX plugins on re-install

I reinstalled V5 recently but when I load a Veggie, I get the following message:
"The audio plug-in "Sonic Foundry ExpressFX Reverb" on track #x was not found or did not load properly"

Any idea? I re-booted the system since I just re-registered with the re-install but no change... In fact, all the ExpressFXs that used to be there have disapeared

I belive that were al renamed to "Sony" in V5 & in V6 they took the name "Sony" out of them.

Did you have V3/4 installed before? If you & you uninstalled it the specific "SF" plugins are gone but there ARE sony equivilents (I belive the replacement for the one you list is just "Reverb")

These are not the same plugins. The Express plugins are quick ones, less parameters. I had them loaded in a project ( a music pre-prod demo) and after reinstalling Vegas, I lost'em.
I don't remember if I had V4 installed prior to installing V5 before though, this might be the answer.
But how come they ditched those plugins if that is the case?!

ok.... i remember those. With V4 they included better plugins and the Express ones right? I never really used those because the other ones were better. I think they just phased them out because they wearn't as good as the newer ones. I have old V4 projects that use some of those too. Maybe someone from Sony can chirp in here...

Guess I'll deal with it and re-assign the newer FXs on my current project.
Thanks HF for the pointer, this is probably, indeed, the issue ; the discussion vaguely reminds me something in that sense ... : )

What if you install the V4 demo? That has the plugins. Then you can have the project open in V4 & V5 & duplicate the settings easier.
