I'm The Master of Disaster

I had a small, but complex project residing on an new, external hard drive. I inadvertantly erased the folder and dumped the Recycle Bin . This was the only folder on the drive. Because of the single folder, I must have thought it was my thumb drive. I immediately disconnected the drive. No additional data has been added.

I need suggestions for a good recovery program.

Thanks!

I'll second that. It's saved my butt several times. I've even had drives that other utilities report as "not partitioned" and it was able to recover almost everything. Warning though ... it's slow! Often i've had to let it run overnight. It's definitely worth it though.

There's a great article in last month's "Maximum PC" magazine that spells out data recovery step-by-step, if you need the detail. Also mentions a few different recovery programs, with pros and cons.

For what It's worth.

DJ Padre & Kelly,

I just wanted you to know that my file recovery was 100% successful, thanks to you!

The "GetDataBack for NTSC" worked flawlessly.

Thanks (again) for your help and support!
