I'm trying to save having to recreate 27 animated thumnails in DVDA that somehow stuffed up I looking at the recompress button. The original questions are posted again below.
Is there any way to either to cut & paste thumnails from one DVDA project to another or else reset the file created & saved by DVDA in such a way at to remove the recompress flag from this file?
"What did I do wrong. The first thing that I did when I opened DVDA & selected my MPEG2 was to check with optomize to see just what it was saying there before I proceeded to make menus. It indicated that the video would not need to be recompressed & that the size was about 90%. I created 3 menus with 27 animated thumbnails & then checked back with optomize. Once again the only thing it said would be processed would be the new menus & opening. The total size had increased by about 100MB due to the new chapter menu's & the total was still just over 90%.
Perhaps the next think I did was wrong. I just wanted to try out the sliders that set the file to either increase or decrease file size. I saw that if you clicked on just one item than the slider effected all tracks size. I clicked on the recompress button to see it's effect, noted this then turned it off again.
I then went to the make DVD menu & choose the prepare DVD option. The first three lines have me really confused. The first warning said that I didn't have enough space in the temporary file folder to make the DVD. The folder is on a drive that reports 65GB free space. Just how much space does the sysyem want to make a DVD that will be less then 4.7GB?
The second & third warnings said that both my audio & video would need to be recompressed. This was despite the fact that I had turned off the recompress button under optomize & that the whole project was only going to come out at about 91-92%. Does the don't recompress button have to be reset in some way?
What did I do wrong?"
