I want to be able to view the m2t files in my laptop...that come out of my Sony Z7U. But I don't' want to load the Vegas software in my laptop to be able to view these. Is there a player that'll allow me to view the files without having to load up an editing program?
VLC Media Player works fine for me - we used it to look at our dailies on Dream House this summer. It can be a bit buggy, but if you want to just watch everything in a specific folder, it gets the job done (and the price is right).
Thanks Jessariah - I just downloaded it and it plays the files very nicely. I did notice however that the audio is kinda buggy - makes pops & crack noises. Have you experienced this when watching m2t's with VLC? I can tolerate the audio because I'm more interested in seeing the footage then listening to the audio :)
No, I haven't had any audio issues - just an occasional cueing glitch where it keeps playing the same file over and over, regardless of what you choose to play.
