I need help with scrolling titles

Here's what I'm trying to do. At the end of my movie I have a video clip that is running on the right side of the screen while my ending titles scroll upward on the left side. The set up for scrolling text seems to have been eliminated from the manual. So I use VF1.0's manual and come close, but have not got it. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch!

Hello Battman, and thanks for adding to the forum.

Here is what I would do (it isn't exactly what you are trying to achieve, but it gets the job done with good results):

-I would set up a staged decline in opacity on the video track, creating a scrolling text track in the overlay. What would occur would be a gradual fade in the video track (because you staged a series of declining opacity changes to the video track [adjust opacity by placing your cursor at the top of the track and dragging the Opacity envelope down] and an increased presence of the scrolling text in the Overlay track. You can position the scrolling text on the right hand side of the frame if you like, or have it overlay the entire video frame.

You may appreciate the advanced compositing features found in Vegas Video. In Vegas you could use a chromakeyer/mask on the tracks to superimpose the text on the video so you don't have to use opacity.

Hope this helps!
