Vegas Pro 9.0 is compatible with the Blackmagic Design DeckLink HD Extreme and AJA Io Express, Xena 2K, LH, LHe, LHi, LS, and LSe cards if that's what you are referring to.
Vegas also works with the Blackmagic Intensity card. It works in both SD and HD at up to 4:2;2 1080i and has HDMI, component, S-Video and composite I/O. It lists for $199.
It completely avoids the problems associated with birds in foliage.
> Okay, John, you got me with that one. Would you, please, explain?
Jay, I know I are asking John Cline and not me but even I had to think about that one for a long while. I assume his reference to "birds in foliage" is a reference to xberk's comment of "And a partridge in a pear tree...." which is a response to my reference to all the IO cards that Vegas supports.
The translation then is:
(It) The Blackmagic Intensity card completely avoids the problems associated with Blackmagic Design DeckLink HD Extreme and AJA Io Express, Xena 2K, LH, LHe, LHi, LS, and LSe cards (birds in foliage).
Vegas has had it's share of incompatibilities with IO cards and drivers and apparently John feels that the Blackmagic Intensity card is a good inexpensive solution that actually works.
